Short answer: Group walks suit confident, sociable dogs and cost less; solo (one-to-one) walks suit puppies, nervous, reactive or senior dogs who need undivided attention. Many dogs are happy with either — a free meet & greet is the best way to decide.
It’s one of the first questions every dog owner asks us. Here’s the honest lowdown on both.
Group dog walks
A small, carefully-matched pack heads out together for a sociable adventure. Great for dogs who love company and play, and better value because the cost is shared. Our group dog walks are kept to small, compatible groups with door-to-door transport and photo updates.
Best for: confident, well-socialised dogs who enjoy other dogs.
Solo (one-to-one) walks
Your dog gets a walker’s full attention for the whole session, at their own pace. Ideal for puppies still learning, nervous or reactive dogs, seniors, or any dog recovering from injury. Our solo dog walks are completely tailored to your dog.
Best for: puppies, nervous, reactive or senior dogs, or dogs who simply prefer their own space.
How to choose
If your dog lights up around other dogs, group walks are sociable and great value. If they find other dogs stressful or need extra care, solo is kinder. Not sure? We’ll give you an honest recommendation at a free meet & greet — sometimes the cheaper group option is the right fit, sometimes it isn’t. Whichever you choose, Daz & Viv are fully insured, DBS-checked and first-aid trained. For pricing on both, see how much a dog walker costs.
